Install and enable storefront components
After installation, merchants can enable the relevant theme app blocks or embeds used by the storefront features. The public marketing website remains separate from the embedded Shopify app.
HOW IT WORKS
Sold Countly & Reviews uses eligible order events, tracked inventory, recent observed cart activity, and purchase-verified review workflows to prepare storefront signals. Review publication stays under merchant moderation.
Signals appear only when the app has the required eligible data for that feature.
MERCHANT SETUP
The app does not need every feature to use the same data source. Sold count, inventory urgency, cart activity, and verified reviews each follow their own eligibility and update rules.
After installation, merchants can enable the relevant theme app blocks or embeds used by the storefront features. The public marketing website remains separate from the embedded Shopify app.
The current implementation can scan up to the previous 60 days of eligible paid order history to establish the starting sold-count baseline. Ongoing paid-order events can increase the cumulative count, while qualifying restocked refund events can reduce it.
Current tracked inventory can support availability and stock-cycle urgency. Recent anonymous cart snapshots can support the compact “X in Cart” signal for the selected variant. If supported data is unavailable, the related optional signal is designed not to display a fabricated count.
PURCHASE-VERIFIED REVIEWS
The native review workflow is product-scoped. A customer can review eligible Shopify products from the order rather than receiving an unrestricted store-wide verified-review form.
The review-request plan needs a stable Shopify order, a customer email, and at least one eligible Shopify product line item. Unpaid, cancelled, and fully refunded order states are not eligible for the native verified-review flow.
Fulfillment can establish the request anchor, and a later fully delivered shipping state can re-anchor the schedule to delivery. Under the current default policy, India orders use a 7-day initial delay and international orders use 15 days when the order country is available.
The current policy allows up to 3 request emails with 2-day gaps. Orders without the required scheduling information are not represented as though a request was successfully scheduled.
The purchase-verified review link is scoped to remaining eligible products. For each product the customer chooses to review, a 1–5 star rating is required; title and written review are optional.
New native verified reviews remain pending until moderation. Merchants can review the submitted content and eligible media, approve, reject, hide, and save a merchant reply according to the native review workflow.
Public review aggregates and review media are based on eligible approved review state. Pending, rejected, hidden, or deleted native review content is not presented as an approved public review.
EXISTING REVIEW IMPORT
Merchants can upload supported review data through the Excel import workflow. Imported entries go to the import review queue instead of being automatically presented as native purchase-verified reviews.

Optional social-proof and urgency elements are designed to stay secondary to the product experience and to remain hidden when their required state is unavailable.
Cumulative sold count can be shown beside current tracked availability. When the sold count is zero, the storefront does not need to force a “0 sold” label.
The current implementation counts recent anonymous cart presence for the selected variant using a 30-minute activity window. A non-positive or unavailable count is not rendered as “X in Cart.”
For tracked variants that deny overselling, the Selling Fast state uses the current inventory-cycle baseline and can trigger when at least 70% of that baseline has been consumed while stock remains above zero.
Native verified reviews do not become approved public reviews merely because a customer submitted them. Publication follows the merchant moderation state.
DESIGNED AROUND IMPLEMENTED STATE
Sold Countly & Reviews by AI Ecommerce Solutions is designed to use the implemented store events and review states described above. Individual features can remain hidden when their required data or eligibility conditions are not available.
